Here are some vegetables that deserve a second glance for their nutritional benefits, according to Jeffrey Blumberg, a Friedman School professor and scientist in the Antioxidants Research Laboratory at the Jean Mayer Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts, and Helen Rasmussen, a Friedman School instructor and senior research dietitian at the center.

Blumberg, PhD; Sarah L. Booth, PhD; Johanna Andrews Chavez, MMS; Elizabeth Killion, MS; Alice H. Lichtenstein, DSc; and Susan B. Roberts, PhD.
Dr. Lisa Freeman, J86, V91, NG96, has been selected to receive the 2016 Tufts University Alumni Distinguished Achievement Award. The Alumni Awards ceremony and reception took place on Saturday, April 2, on the Medford/Somerville campus.
